LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – It’s pomp and circumstance in “Pure Michigan” style. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced the graduation of their recent officers from the Conservation Officer Academy.

The DNR program is considered one of the toughest programs in the state and it lasts 23 weeks.

Of the 400 applicants, only 15 were chosen; 12 made it to graduation.

The primary mission of DNR officers is to enforce fish, game, and natural resource protection laws. In addition, these DNR officers are certified law enforcement officers with the authority to enforce all of Michigan Laws.
