LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Michigan Department of Natural Resources released the 2022 Deer Hunting Season numbers.

According to the data, Montcalm County boasts this year’s hotspot with nearly 6,800 antler and antlerless deer being harvested.

The top three counties all took in more than 6,000 deer with Sanilac coming in second with roughly 6,600 and Newaygo coming in third with more than 6,400 deer harvests reported.

Menominee is  the top getter in he U.P. with about 5,000 deer harvests.
