SAULT SAINT MARIE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Sault Ste. Marie police officials say two people are facing charges after cameras caught the pair throwing a puppy into the power canal in Sault Ste. Marie.
That power canal leads directly to the huge turbines that operate the cities power plant.

Sault Ste. Marie police officers were able to rescue the puppy before it made it to the power plant.
The puppy will remain with the Chippewa County Animal Shelter for the time being and reports are that the puppy is doing fine with no injuries.
Eventually she will be up for adoption.
