DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – The Detroit Red Wings will honor the Stanley Cup Champions from the 1997 and 1998 seasons on Thursday, Nov. 3, and Saturday, Nov. 5. There will be more than 30 players, coaches and staff from the two Stanley Cup Championship teams returning for the weekend celebration.

Commemorative merchandise will be available in the team store including vintage championship t-shirts and hats, replica patches for hockey sweaters, branded pucks and more for both seasons.

Also included during those two days will be exclusive fan photo opportunities with the Stanley Cup, Conn Smythe Trophy, and Campbell Bowl on Via concourse with doors opening early for both games. Photo opportunities will run from 4:30-5:45 p.m. on Thursday and 10:30-11:45 a.m. on Saturday.

On Thursday night, the pregame ceremony honoring the 1997 team will be begin at 6:00 p.m. and at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The 1997 championship was the club’s first Stanley Cup in 42 years.
