EAST LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – For the second time in three years, Lisa Breznau has been named the Big Ten Women’s Cross-Country Coach of the Year. She won the award in 2020 and has guided MSU to two Big Ten team titles. For the program, it is the third championship in four years.

She was named the interim head coach in fall 2020 and has been on staff for 13 years at MSU. In summer 2021, she had the interim tag removed to lead both programs. She has played a part in the development of eight women’s cross country All-Americans, including Annie Fuller and Rachele Schulist, who were two-time winners.
