ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Warde Manuel, the Donald R. Shepherd Director of Athletics, announced on Wednesday that Michigan head volleyball coach Mark Roster will take a temporary leave of absence for health-related reasons. Associated head coach Leisa Rosen will oversee the program for now.

“Our entire department is behind Mark. We will continue to provide him with all of our support and hope to get him back to the program he loves shortly. We will work closely with coach Leisa Rosen to support our student-athletes as they strive towards the postseason while caring for Mark, Leisa, and their family during this challenge,” says Manuel.

Michigan is currently 14-10 with six regular season games left as they take on Northwestern on Friday and Illinois on Saturday. Rosen is the all-time winningest coach for the program and been to the NCAA Tournament 19 times.
