LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – It’s been nearly one week since the midterm election, and officials with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) are reminding residents and candidates to remove election and political signs.

The Michigan Department of Transportation says signs should be removed within 10 days after an election, which makes Friday, November 18 the deadline.

Officials remind homeowners to check local ordinances. In addition, MDOT states signs will be removed by crews after the deadline and held for seven days at local MDOT centers or maintenance garages. After that, they will be discarded.
