SAULT SAINT MARIE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – While many schools throughout Michigan cancelled classes on Friday due to snow, the the Sault Area High School closed on Friday because of an overnight fire in the back of the building.
The fire started in the Career Tech Center around 2.m. on Friday. In-house sprinklers extinguished the small fire in the woodshop area.
The fire caused minimal damage but the water flooded the woodshop and leaked out into the hallway. It remains under investigation.
