LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – With less than three weeks to go before the general election, Michigan’s hotly contested gubernatorial race is too close to call, and GOP hopeful Tudor Dixon is pulling out all the stops to secure a victory.

Dixon will host another “Ask Me Anything” Town Hall on Friday, October 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Stone Creek Banquet Hall in Flat Rock. Dixon will partner with former White House Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley for the event.

It’s the second “Ask Me Anything” event Dixon has held in as many weeks.

While the concept of an “Ask Me Anything” event may cause some in the political realm to tremble, Dixon does not seem to be one of them. Her performance in last week’s gubernatorial debate has been lauded as strong and near perfection by media outlets on both ends of the political spectrum.

Before the second and final gubernatorial debate on October 25, both candidates will be upping their game. As first reported, Whitmer seemed uncharacteristically shaky in the first debate and did not command the room as she normally does.

While Whitmer fancies carefully crafted press conferences as opposed to “Ask Me Anything” events, she is issuing a rash of press releases daily. These range from announcements about “fighting like hell” for abortion rights to throwing $30 million at law enforcement after Dixon confronted Whitmer with her “defund the police” record at last week’s debate.

Dixon has described Whitmer’s latest strategy as “naked pandering.”

The election is November 8.
