Political reporter Rick Albin will be moderating the hour long debate.

Abortion, inflation, education, crime, and COVID-19 lockdown decisions are some of the opposing views that the two women hold and will likely be among the topics discussed.

At the October 1 Trump rally, the former president voiced his endorsement of Dixon and the other Republican candidates for Attorney General, Secretary of State, and a seat for Congress.  President Biden stumped for Whitmer when in Detroit for the Auto Show, and criticized Dixon’s views on abortion.

The next debate is scheduled for October 25, just two weeks before the November 8 election.  Besides the office of governor, the vote will include attorney general and secretary of state, as well as three ballot proposals.  Proposition 3 would make abortion legal up to the moment of birth and enshrine it in the Michigan constitution.
