EAST LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The last time Michigan State reached such a feat for back-to-back player Big Ten Player of the Week was 14 years ago. Jacoby Windmon becomes just the fifth Spartan player to be given the award on consecutive weeks joining Javon Ringer (RB, 2008), Brett Swenson (K, 2008), Drew Stanton (QB, 2005), and Paul Edinger (K, 1998).

Windmon forced three fumbles against Akron along with 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, broke up a pass, and recovered a fumble. He leads the FBS in sacks (5.5) and forced fumbles (4) and is tied for first in tackles for loss (6.5). His three forced fumbles in a game is the most since Joe Bachie did in 2018 vs. Maryland.
