LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – On Friday, GOP Secretary of State candidate Kristina Karamo denied allegations made by her ex-husband in old divorce documents that claim she once attempted to kill her family.

The accusations say Karamo threatened to crash the car she, her ex-husband, and her children were riding in; she called the accusations “categorically false.”

The claims stem from a motion to change the parenting time order between her and ex-husband Adom Karamo.

There is nothing in the court document that says when and where Karamo allegedly said this. Karamo said she has never harmed her children and was awarded full physical custody of them in 2014.

Karamo is running against Democrat Jocelyn Benson for Secretary of State.

The general election is November 8.
