The ad came the same day Dixon announced the endorsement of 22 county sheriffs in Michigan, including one Democrat.

Meanwhile, Put Michigan First released a new TV ad on Wednesday that the Michigan Education Association (MEA) says shows “the extremely close ties between GOP gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon and billionaire Betsy DeVos, whose family is spending millions trying to elect the extremist media personality.” The MEA is the state’s largest teacher’s union and is backing Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

A September 1 Detroit News article highlighted Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s $14 million available in her campaign fundraising account, which stated is 26 times the total disclosed by Dixon’s $523,930.

An increasing complaint from potential voters about Dixon’s campaign has been her lack of advertisements on television.
