DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – The Detroit Tigers have a new President of Baseball operations.
Scott Harris has been hired as the president of baseball operations and will replace Al Avila. The Tigers fired Avila last month.
Harris has worked as the general manager of the San Francisco Giants since 2019.
Previously, he spent seven years with the Chicago Cubs.
The Tigers are convinced the 36-year-old Harris has the ability to build an organization in the modern game. The Giants won 107 games in 2021
