DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Tim Pearce (Birmingham Country Club) had a day shooting a 67 to claim first place on day one of the Michigan PGA Professional Championship. Shooting a 5-under with five birdies, he is just two strokes ahead six other competitors who all shot 69. Daniel Urban (Gull Lake Country Club), Garrick Hunger (Great Oaks Country Club), Kyle Martin (Lochmoor Club), Josh Fryer (Franklin Hills Country Club), Ian Ziska (American Dunes Golf Club), and Shaun Bezilla (Harbor Point Golf Club) all had a 69 and are 3-under.

“I put in a lot of work in the last week on a couple minor tweaks and I was hitting it good enough over the weekend to go for a bogey-free round today and that’s just what I did,” said Pearce.
