TORONTO (Michigan News Source) – Only three hits in the game led to the Tigers losing the series to Toronto, 4-1. The Blue Jays took the four-game series winning three games including the last two.
All four runs were earned for Toronto with six hits as three were for extra bases. Only three Detroit players had a hit each as Javier Baez recorded the lone RBI on a home run in the fourth inning.

Toronto took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on a two-run home run from Matt Chapman. Baez then followed with a solo shot in the fourth to pull Detroit within one run. Toronto posted two doubles in the fifth inning for their other two runs. A pick-off attempt that went sour led to an advanced base for Cavan Biggio with one out. Vladimir Guerror, Jr., doubled in Biggio for a 3-1 lead. Two batters later, Bo Bichette doubled in Guerrero, Jr. for the three-run lead.
Toronto pitching retired the final 12 batters of the game.
Detroit heads to Minnesota for a three game series starting on Monday at 7:40 p.m.
