STURGIS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Abbott Nutrition in Sturgis, which has emerged from a shutdown and a months-long controversy during the nation’s baby formula shortage, announced the company will expand.
Abbot Nutrition is ready to build a 35,000 square foot expansion on its warehouse building. Other plans are in the works, including a 1,060 square foot water treatment room and a 12,548 square foot boiler and compressor addition.
The plant closed down in February stemming from contamination reports. Flooding forced it to close shortly after reopening in June.
