BOYNE CITY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Leading wire-to-wire, Korn Ferry Tour member Brett White took the championship and prize money shooting par on Wednesday. White finished with a three-day total of 204 which was 12-under coming in ahead of Beau Breault (Howell) and Frank McAuliffe (Meadowbrook Country Club). Shooting a 72 at Boyne Mountain on the final day, White earned the $9,000 pay out and another championship.
“It’s really special to play in this and win this,” said White. “I love coming to Boyne and Northern Michigan. I’m really glad I got a chance to play in this. That was one of the big perks of wining the Michigan Open (2020), getting to play in this with a lot of golfers who helped me and taught me how to conduct myself when I was a junior, a lot of friends, college buddies and then some of the women who have competed with my sister, too.”
