LOS ANGELES (Michigan News Source) – The 2022 MLB Draft will take place on Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. ET from Los Angeles, Calif., as part of the All-Star Week. The MLB Network will have complete coverage of the entire draft with ESPN broadcasting the first round. Steve Kemp will represent the Tigers at the Draft as the club representative for the 12th overall pick.

In a mock draft, the Tigers look to take Brock Porter, a right-handed pitcher from Orchard Lake St. Mary’s High School in Michigan. He would be the first pitcher taken if this happens but Detroit is also looking at college hitters in Jace Jung (Texas Tech), Zach Neto (Campbell) and Chase DeLauter (James Madison).
