DETROIT (Michigan News Source) -Dropping a double header on Monday to the Kansas City Royals, 3-1, and 7-3, the Tigers posted a four-run seventh inning for a Tuesday afternoon win, 7-4. Detroit won their 37th game and remain in fourth place in the AL Central.
Miguel Cabrera led the team with two RBI but Spencer Torkelson was 3-of-4 with one RBI. Jonathan Schoop and Akil Baddoo also had two hits with one RBI. Beau Brieske earned his third win of the year as Gregory Soto collected his 18th save.

Tied 3-3 after five innings, Detroit used a four-run seventh inning to take the lead, 7-3. Cabrera broke up the tie as Javier Baez came home on the throwing error by Bobby Witt, Jr. making it 4-3. Cabrera became the second run of the inning when he came home on a throwing error. Schoop pushed the lead to three, 6-3, with a double to left field as Willi Castro scored. Torkelson finished the scoring with a single to left field bring in Schoop.
KC and Detroit face off at 2:10 p.m. on Wednesday in the fourth game of the series.
