ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – In the past week, the University of Michigan received two commitments for future players – 2023 and 2024. Enow-M’beleke Etta joins the 2023 class and Manuel Beigel is in the 2024 class.

Etta is a 4-star defensive end from Colleyville, Texas, and Covenant Christian Academy. The 6-4.5, 260 pound prospect also plays basketball and averaged 11.9 points and 8.3 rebounds per game his sophomore season. Covenant Christian standout was a 2021 Texas TAPPS Division III first-team all-state selection in basketball. He started playing football in 2019 and led TAPPS in sacks as a sophomore in 2020.

247Sports recruiting expert says, “Etta is an above average athlete that plays with good technique.” Etta becomes the 12th commit for the 2023 class as Michigan is ranked 36th overall.

Gaining a commitment from overseas, Beigel is from Germany. He will be now playing at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Conn., the next two seasons and will be a part of the 2024 class. The defensive lineman went on a summer recruiting tour called the Dreamchasers Tour making stops at Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State, Kent State, and Florida. He also had an offer from Central Michigan.

Beigel was discovered through the PPI Recruits Organization and their tour. This organization was founded in 2017 and has helped more than 80 players in 15 countries find Division I scholarships.

Brandon Collier, the founder of PPI Recruits, says, “Beigel is a former soccer player, very light on his feet. He’s running in the low 4.9s in the 40. A big, broad athletic kid, with a lot of room to grow (from maizenbrew.com).”
