DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – First-Round Draft Pick Aidan Hutchinson is making his name know early in his first NFL preseason camp. Just two days in, he has been moved up to the first team defense.

“He proves to be what we think he can be. He probably sits in there in the one’s until he needs a blow or rotation or whatever, but there again he’s got to prove it. He’s got to prove that he can do it consistently. He is the right guy to be there right now,” says head coach Dan Campbell.

Hutchinson worked with the number two team in the offseason learning from Charles Harris, a former first-round pick by Miami. Hutchinson had a strong showing on the first day with the number two team going against the backup offensive linemen at the Organized Team Activities.

Campbell says, “What’s great about him is he just is quietly getting better right in front of us. He doesn’t say anything. He listens. He’s like a sponge in there, he absorbs the information, he watches how things are done and the way coaches want them done. Then he’s got a motor and he goes.”
