Robbie Grossman’s second home run in as many days, and a stellar bullpen helped the Detroit Tigers to a 7-3 victory over the Texas Rangers on Sunday afternoon at Comerica Park in Detroit.
Grossman had 4 RBI on the day to pace the offense and Detroit’s bullpen gave up only one hit over the last 4 1/3 innings to get the win. Alex Lange got the win in relief, he’s 4-1 on the season. Victor Reyes and Spencer Torkelson each had two hits as well.
The 26-40 Tigers head out on the road for the next eight games. They open a series at Fenway Park against the Boston Red Sox tonight. It’s a 7:10 first pitch. Alex Faedo starts for the Tigers against Josh Wincowski for the Red Sox.
