GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Great Lakes News) –  A West Michigan woman and her four children are still being held captive in Haiti after being kidnapped more than a week ago while on a mission trip.

Friends and family held a prayer vigil on Sunday night for the Hart-area family, with Jeremiah Johnson telling WOOD-TV it’s been a challenging time. He also added the family has a strong love for people, which spurred their decision to go on this mission trip.
