LANSING, Mi (Great Lakes News) – Former Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder will be back in court for another hearing next month, but today his legal team focused on a possible reason for dismissal of charges: a mistake made by the state’s Attorney General Dana Nessel.

Snyder lawyer Brian Lennon wrote a letter to prosecutors Tuesday, saying the allegations of willful neglect and duty in the Flint water crisis took place at the governor’s office, which is in Ingham County. Nessel filed the charges in Genesee County, where Flint is located. Lennon asked the judge to dismiss Snyder’s two misdemeanor charges.
